CAVA volunteers enjoyed cleaning Langat River just outside Kuala Lumpur that for years has been plagued by a tidal wave of plastic pollution. They spent the day restoring the river to it's former glory and sharing a picnic together!! The Island of Pulau Ubin has long been threatened by plastic waste and environmental degradation. CAVA volunteers worked hard despite the intense rain to protect it's fragile ecology and in 2022 we will run a series of adventures to help protect it. CAVA Newsletter Autumn 2021 CAVA has been very busy over the last few months, protecting our environment, laughing, having new adventures, making new friends and volunteering to preserve our beautiful planet. CAVA volunteers had a wonderful weekend beach camping in Langkarwi. We went hiking to a local waterfall, played beach volleyball and football. Spent the evening around the fire and tested our inner muscians in a music quiz. On the last day our wonderful volunteers worked hard to clean up several beaches and protect our threatened ecology!! We have recently begun working with the National Park Authorities in Singapore to complete a series of nature walks. The aim of these is to look after the precious sea creatures living along Singapore's coast line. These are under threat from a myriad of environmental dangers. We aim to change this through awareness and fundraising to look after them. Join the Group!! In the morning they were treated to a glorious sunrise, fresh seafood, listened to the waves and helped the park authorities to survey and understand better Penang's intricate ecological system. CAVA Newsletter Summer 2021 CAVA has been very busy over the last few months, protecting our environment, having fun, exploring new places, making new friends and hiking in our fantastic forests. CAVA volunteers did a fantastic job of cleaning up Pantai Pasir Beach. This had long been a source of contention in Penang. For years it has been strewn with bottles and other pieces of plastic ruining this fantastic beach. But our wonderful volunteers worked hard to sweep it clean and made new friends around a picnic!! Singapore recently opened for camping again and our Cool CAVA Campers were able to enjoy toasted marshmellows, roasted chicken, a hike to the top of the mountain and a quiz. In the morning they were treated to a glorious sunrise, had french toast, listened to the waves and helped the park authorities protect Pulau Ubin's fragile ecology. Join the Group!! After many weeks of lockdown our members managed to grab some fresh air and enjoy another of Kuala Lumpur's wonderful waterfalls. Our participants enjoyed a picnic, a hike, some tasty bananas and a swim. In the evening there was a tasty BBQ cooked by our head camping chef!!!
